The SMO Museum of Landscape and Narrative is a new museum in San Pietro al Natisone dedicated to the cultural landscape stretching from the Julian Alps to the sea, from the Mangart to the Gulf of Trieste.
It is an example of the new form of thematic and territorial museum: rather than collections, they house narratives of an interactive nature. In keeping with the museum’s technological approach, and using tools of the latest generation, a model of the Julian Alps was created. Maps narrating the history and geography of the area are projected onto its surface.
